Season's Greetings, Everyone!

Well, I finally got all my Christmas cards out.  Seems like it takes me longer every year.  I remember the days when I wrote this long newsletter and printed it out on Christmasy stationery and included it with every card.  Well, that went by the wayside about five years ago--probably to the relief of everyone who'd received it. This year I included a photo of Leah's wedding to our close relatives who couldn't make it to the wedding, and that's about it.  I always feel guilty when I write a brief "Happy Holidays" because I truly do care about these people on my Christmas card list--but when that list grows to 75+, it's just hard to put a lot of newsy info in.  For the first time in my life, I'm beginning to understand my relatives who prefer to call at Christmastime rather than send cards.  But I love getting cards so much, I can't imagine ever giving up sending them. 

On Friday, December 7th, Frank and I celebrated our 33rd anniversary.  (Can you believe he's put up with me for 33 years???)  Did I ever tell you what my sister, Kathy, and my mom used to say?  "I can't believe Carole actually found the one man in the world who'd actually put up with her."  Of course, they said this with a grin...or I might've been insulted.  Anyway, Frank took me to dinner at this fabulous restaurant called Russia House--and we had a fantastic meal!  Chicken Kiev for me, and Beef Stroganoff for him.  (I gave him a heads up that he had to take me to Inn at Little Washington for our 50th anniversary.)  Frank also surprised me with a gorgeous diamond tennis bracelet.  What a lucky woman I am to have such a wonderful husband!
